Get Involved - Volunteer!
It is an OCPS requirement that all volunteers shall be registered and approved through the ADDitions Program.
STEP-BY-STEP: How to Volunteer at Lake Whitney Elementary
1. Register with ADDitions (OCPS Volunteer System)

Go to the ADDitions website: https://ocps.samaritan.com

Click "Sign Up".

Fill out your info and create an account.
2. Watch the Required Video

New volunteers: Wait for an email prompting you to return and watch the video.

Returning volunteers: You can watch the video immediately after logging in.
3. Select Your School

Log into your ADDitions account.

Click "Find New Opportunities".

On the left side, search for "Lake Whitney Elementary".

Click on "#1 – Become an ADDitions Volunteer" for LWE.
4. Wait for Approval

OCPS approval can take up to 2 weeks, so apply early!

Once approved, you'll be eligible to volunteer at any OCPS campus or event (like field trips).
5. Bring Your ID

You must show a valid photo ID every time you’re on campus.
Reminder for Returning Volunteers:
You must renew your registration every school year.
