It is an OCPS requirement that all volunteers shall be registered and approved through the ADDitions Program.

 

STEP-BY-STEP: How to Volunteer at Lake Whitney Elementary

1. Register with ADDitions (OCPS Volunteer System)

2. Watch the Required Video

  • New volunteers: Wait for an email prompting you to return and watch the video.

  • Returning volunteers: You can watch the video immediately after logging in.

3. Select Your School

  • Log into your ADDitions account.

  • Click "Find New Opportunities".

  • On the left side, search for "Lake Whitney Elementary".

  • Click on "#1 – Become an ADDitions Volunteer" for LWE.

4. Wait for Approval

  • OCPS approval can take up to 2 weeks, so apply early!

  • Once approved, you'll be eligible to volunteer at any OCPS campus or event (like field trips).

5. Bring Your ID

  • You must show a valid photo ID every time you’re on campus.


Reminder for Returning Volunteers:

You must renew your registration every school year.
